Plot Summary

The family broke up many years ago. Unable to withstand the hardships of life in the Far North, Elena returned to her hometown with a small child. After 16 years, Sergei comes to congratulate his daughter Yulia, whom he has not seen for all these years, on her coming of age. As a gift he brings a bear skin, and with it the unspent paternal love. But Yulia is in no hurry to rejoice at the sudden appearance of a man who is a stranger to her....
