Plot Summary

Actor Kevin Bacon narrates this chronicle of the brave volunteers who journeyed to New Orleans to rescue the quarter-million dogs, cats and other pets who were stranded when their owners were forced to leave them behind during Hurricane Katrina. Often facing danger themselves, the rescuers provide nourishment and shelter for these animals, even as they confront the herculean task of trying to reunite them with their displaced families.
