Plot Summary

On the day his first child is to be born, Manny learns his estranged father is set to be executed in Texas. Torn between family duty and fear of fatherhood, he abandons his pregnant wife in Monterrey and sets off on a desperate road trip across the border. Accompanied by his childhood friend, Manny’s journey through the vibrant and perilous Texas–Mexico borderlands becomes one of self-discovery, forgiveness, and transformation.
