Plot Summary

After losing her father at a young age, Cinder grows up neglected by a cruel stepmother determined to drain her inheritance. Counting down the days to her 21st birthday and the trust fund her father left behind, Cinder escapes her bleak life through friendship, quiet rebellion, and a dangerous attraction to the volatile Cash. When she accidentally summons the voodoo spirit Baron Samedi, Cinder is given the power to take control of her fate.
