Plot Summary

Set in Nara, the seat of power in Japan in the early 8th century. The power of the imperial court has been split into two warring factions, Prince Nagaya who protects the right for imperial rule by direct decent, and the Fujiwara clan who favor giving more power to the clans related to the imperial family. Children of the warring factions, Prince Asukabe, Princess Asukabe and Obito no Miko are friends from a young age.
