Plot Summary

In the late 19th century, two water seekers, Vilimas and Ulys, arrived in a picturesque Lithuanian village. They both fell in love with the only daughter of the widow Grigene, Tsilya. Under her mother's influence, Tsilya chooses not Vilimas, but the wealthier Ulys...
