Plot Summary

At the heart of this thrilling adventure story is the charismatic Black Caesar, hailing from the Oyo Kingdom (now Nigeria) and gradually bestowed with devastating (and bedeviling) powers from the deities known as Orishas. He and his closest comrades must learn how to navigate both perilous seas and the spirit realm of the ancestors, as they contend with the ruthless marauders who trade human lives for profit, slave masters who run their plantations with brutal authority, legendary pirates who terrorize the Caribbean sea in search of fortunes, and traitors from within the Oyo and neighboring kingdoms.
