Plot Summary

They sorted, washed, hung out, ironed, perfumed, folded, put away, and when they were done, they started all over again. All of them had been doing laundry for their sons in prison for years. I looked at the hollow body of the son, the full body of the mother, the gentleness and violence that passed between them.
