Plot Summary

When young Korean American adoptee Si Miller learns his bedridden birthmother in South Korea wishes to see him, he is forced to confront his sense of otherness. As his efforts to assimilate in New England unravel, well-intentioned friends and family try to save him from something they can’t understand. But the more they try, Si keeps feeling betrayed and ends up lashing out. Still unprepared to face the truth, Si hesitates to take a step forward.
