Plot Summary

Larysa Kadochnikova is a screen legend of Ukrainian cinema who played Marichka in Serhii Paradzhanov’s Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. On 24 February 2022, when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she refused to evacuate and stayed in Kyiv during the offensive. The film tells the story of her life in those dire times.
